Created and operated by Panama and Cocle Theater (PaCT) a non-profit community theatre company based in the interior of Panama, this mobile sound/lighting/special effects booth is the center of every event. PA announcements, music, and commercials are complimented by smoke machines, snow makers, gazillions of bubbles, and silver sparkles blown twelve feet into the air!
Grey Hair: A Happy Hippie Happening is an inclusive event, not just a show. It usually takes about an hour and a half. Customers and staff are encouraged to show up in 1960s costumes, and sing along with our MC and karaoke system. We run a “Name That Tune” contest where we play three to five seconds of famous 1960s TV theme songs and audience members try to guess the show. Correct answers are thrown a Hershey’s Kiss. Karaoke singers in costumes also pay tribute to artists such as Janis Joplin, The Temptations, The Beatles, and more.
Answer: a donation of $15 per person is suggested. Children under 12 are $5.00.
All net proceeds of the GREY HAIR events go towards the Community Emergency Services Fund – run by The Panama Helpline – this fund makes sure that the emergency services in your area have the equipment they need to help you including tires and gas for their vehicles, bandages, oxygen, and medicines for the ambulances, etc.
Contact us to book GREY HAIR: A Happy Hippie Happening at your location. You are responsible for promoting the show and either paying the performance fee or collecting the door charge. We bring everything we need – sound system, microphones, theatrical lighting, and stage effects for our show. All food and liquor sales are yours to keep.
